The Helen Bader School of Social Welfare’s (HBSSW) Office of Applied Gerontology organized a session on older adults and hoarding, on Thursday, June 13, 2019.
Hoarding is linked to a variety of conditions including dementia, mental illness, attention problems, physical impairments, and medical comorbidity. The World Elder Abuse Awareness event focused on older adults and provided recommendations for how to handle hoarding within the age group.
