Professor Michal Beeri is a recognized world leader in the study of Alzheimer’s. She is the Director of the Joseph Sagol Neuroscience Center at the Sheba Medical Center in Israel and a Full Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, NY. The main focus of her work is discovering and manipulating factors (such as diabetes) in order to prevent Alzheimer’s disease altogether. She has over 120 publications and has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, Alzheimer’s Association, American Federation for Aging Research and other prestigious organizations for over 15 years. Dr. Beeri grew up in Brazil and Chile, is married, and has three kids.
